I’m a software engineer who likes the unglamorous systems that quietly keep things safe — the kind you only notice when they break. These days that means compliance infrastructure at Block.

Now

At Block I work on the screening and investigations side of compliance: the services that decide whether a person or business needs a closer look, and the tools investigators use once they do. A lot of the job is migrations — moving critical, regulated systems onto new foundations without anyone feeling the ground shift.

I also spend time helping teams get real value out of AI-assisted development, while keeping a firm grip on the fundamentals underneath.
